  1. Karen Eggleston I am an experienced crocheter and I think these are very cute but after looking through the pattern and seeing at the end where it says “because the pattern is free I can not offer any help”, I dont believe I would recommend a pattern to anyone if the creator of the pattern was unwilling to help someone if they needed it or asked for something to be explained. Free or not when its your creation you should be very willing to help someone out that is how word of mouth gets around and word of mouth I mean good or bad. I know myself even though I think they are very cute I would not recommend it to someone that is fairly new to crochet or even someone that knew all the basics but was still learning even if this was the form of crochet the wanted to try because for anyone beginner or expert there should always be someone to ask a question to if you need help with a certain row, or maybe attaching something or just not understanding something sometimes the creator is the only one who knows the answer because then again it is their creation….Just my own opinion ……..

    • Hello Karen,
Thanks for your comment. As you probably noticed I do encourage people to notify me (and I provided my e-mail adress for it) if anything seems very confusing or if there is any errors of any kind. However, I don’t have the time or capacity to help out beginners with more crochet basics. I do believe this pattern should be fairly understandable for anyone who did some crochet before, so I added that line more of an insurance that I wouldn’t get a lot of beginners asking me for things that I believe one should be able to look up themselves (like how to make the “magic ring”) or such. I don’t think you’ll find many people providing a pattern for free that would assist anyone like that. So I am sorry you feel you cannot recommend it to anyone else, but honestly this is the only way I’d be able to share this pattern for free.

  2. Hi Ina!
The pattern looks really nice so I am thinking of making a Roy for my boy 😉 Would you be so kind and let me know his dimensions? How tall/wide is Roy? Thanks for your answer and best regards from Croatia!

    • Oh, I am sorry, I completely forgot to add that information. He is approx 30 cm length and 10 cm wide, but I will re-measure him later today for more accurate information on size. (of course the end result will vary some because it’s depending on yarn and hook size)
