This is how I made the “Elsa” dress for my crochet doll. The pattern for the doll is published in the book “My Crochet Doll” by Isabelle Kessedjian.

I used a 2.5 mm hook and lighter weight yarn than I did for the doll, if you use the same weight yarn as your doll you might want to crochet the dress using a smaller hook or make som adjustements (like using less ch/sts than I did).
I don’t guarantee it will fit, please try on after some rounds and if it doesn’t fit – change your hook or add or reduce sts.
Abbrevations: US terms. dc-inc= 2dc in the same st
DRESS:
R1: ch40, put tog to a ring with a sl st
R2: ch3, 39dc (40)
R3: (4dc, dc-inc) x8 (48)
R4: -with a different color – 48sc (48)
R5: 8dc, ch4, skip8sts, 16dc, ch4, skip8sts, 8dc (40)

Repeat R10 until you reach desired length, if you’d like you can add rounds with sc in a different color.
Finish: *ch2, sc*in each sts around
I also added one round of sc using silver yarn to the top of the dress (“above” R1)

ARMS:
R1: ch16, put tog to a ring with a sl st
R2: 16sc around
repeat R2 until desired length.
Finish: If you want to add edging: *ch1, sc* in each sts last round.
Sew arms to dress (I only attached the “upper part” to make dressing/undressing easier)
