Crochet Hanging green plant
Supplies; this project is perfect for left over yarn, as you just need a tiny amount of each color. Adjust your hook size to be suitable for the yarn you use (make sure to use a hook on the lower range of the recommended size for your yarn)
For this project I used DROPS Safran and hook size 2.0mm
Hook size 2.0-2.5(-3.0) mm
You’ll also need filling (like poleyester filling), and a needle
Regular us terms
Inc – 2 sc in one (increase)
Dec – 2sc together (decrease)
Make a pot/basket.
I used white yarn.
R1: 6 i MR
R2: incx6 (12)
R3: 12 sc, sl st to 1st st
R4-5: ch2, 12 hdc, sl st to 1st st
R6: ch1, 12sc, sl st to 1st st
sl st to nest st, ch 20, sl st to opposite side (6sts from hook)
Make the plant;
With dark brown;
R1: 5 in MR
R2: incx5 (10)
R3-5: 3nds 10sc
R6: decx5 (5)
R1: Ch 7, turn,
R2: in 2nd from hook; sc, 3dc, sc, sl st, 1 picot(ch3, sl st to first ch-st), continue around and work on the other side of the original ch; sc, 3dc, sc. Sl st to the 1st sc you made.
ch5 for 1st leaf, ch9 for 2nd leaf, ch13 for 3rd leave. Attach and fasten off.
