A crochet cactus has been on my to-do-list since I learned to crochet (that is years!), and every now and then I have been looking for small terra cotta pots in local stores, with no luck. At last I went on ebay and searched for it, and realized these are widely available on ebay for a decent price, I bought 10 5.5x 5.5 cm terracotta pots for a little above 100 NOK, and I got them in just a couple of weeks (but it might take longer).

I know there are already several patterns and tutorials on how to make a crochet cactus, but as I wanted to make sure it would fit my pot, I made my own pattern.
Equipments:
For this cactus you need:
Small amount of brown yarn calling for a 2.5mm hook (I used DROPS Safran 50g/160cm):
Some green yarn (I used some sparkling light green that I unfortunately don’t remember the name of, but I think it would suit a 3-4 mm hook, but I used a 2.5mm)
Tiny amounts of yellow and orange yarn (or whichever colors you’d like for the little flower)
Something for stuffing/filling, like polyester filling
2.5 mm hook
Needle
I used a crochet hook size 2.5mm. This will fit in a 5.5cmx5.5 cm pot.
